SASC PAYMENT OPTIONS
General Information
Most Member transactions with the SASC are processed through our Wild Apricot Membership System (this web site). There is no longer a requirement for paper forms for New Membership Applications, Membership Renewals, Social Events or Tours. This system allows payment by Credit Card, eTransfer and Cheque. Credit card payments are automatically processed, while eTransfers and Cheques require additional action by both Members and our Volunteers. The system creates invoices and emails the invoices to members, with any balance due indicated. In the case of eTransfers and Cheques, our Volunteers receive the payment, then update the system to indicate payment has been received. There are different considerations, listed below, for the major transaction types.
In 2024 - 2025, SASC's first year operating our new Wild Apricot Membership System, SASC charged a 3% service fee for use of credit/debit cards on Tours. In 2025 - 2026 there is NO SURCHARGE FOR CREDIT/DEBIT CARDS. All forms of payment pay the same price.

Online Payments - Additional Information
SASC Members have been asking for years about the use of credit cards. Our previous system was unable to properly handle credit card use and processing. SASC did attempt to take credit cards via Docusign for memberships, but there were a number of problems with that system. Our new system integrates credit card processing and credit/debit cards can be used for all online transactions.
Club Members may want to consider credit card use as credit card users sometimes get points or cash back on transactions, which would reduce the cost Club activities. Some credit card users may have health, accident and/or trip cancellation insurance for purchases made via the credit card. Members considering credit card insurance coverage should check the fine print on their credit card benefits. Some credit cards terminate these benefits when card holders reaches a certain age, like 65.
